Atlanta GA – January 3, 2024 – Meridian Cooperative, trusted leader in the development of innovative utility software and technology solutions, proudly announces the addition of Doug Tracy to the Board of Directors, who succeeds Jeff Clark as at large director.
Doug brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the new role as the current President/CEO of Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC), the largest electric cooperative in Missouri, serving nearly 75,000 meters. Under Doug’s guidance, CREC has achieved remarkable growth, with over 65% of its Membership in suburban St. Louis. The cooperative’s commitment to excellence is evident through its solid growth, averaging 1,500 new meters annually, while consistently ranking among the top utility companies nationwide in the American Customer Satisfaction Index survey.
Doug’s dedication extends beyond CREC, as he currently holds a prominent position on the Board of Central Electric Power Cooperative, an electric generation and transmission cooperative headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri. His influence is also felt through his representation of Missouri District 3 on various committees, including the Legislative and Governmental Relations Committee and the Load Management Committee. Moreover, Doug contributes his expertise to the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, where he has been an essential part of the Executive Committee. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from Harding University.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Doug is actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for Boone Center Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the employment of adults with developmental disabilities. An avid runner, Doug has completed 18 marathons and two ultramarathons.
